Friends from Colorado were out for a visit and before their drive back to the snow, we figured, why not spend their last day in the craziness that is Venice Beach? Many crowds of people and street vendors later, we decided to snap some pictures and do some more people watching in the sand.

It's hard to believe that almost two weeks have gone by since I was flying out of the LA craziness and back to my hometown, Whistler BC. My beautiful mum was married to her best friend and it was an amazing weekend spent with family. Since the wedding was indoors due to rain (not surprising for BC), I had plenty of maid-of-honor outfit options to choose from.. Lucky me!

spring cleaning

there CLEARLY has to be something wrong with this....

i tell Tay, and pretty much everyone at school, ALL day long, that I am going to purge my closet. SO, I leave class, and go straight to american apparel, where i buy the CUTEST high waisted tapered legged muted teal colored pants. and a crop top. and a leather pouch.

THAT justifies cleaning my room. so, 2 trash bags later, a few pics to Tay of things she can have, and an entire bottle of Pledge and Windex, my room is immaculate...... until the next time this needs to happen. which, lets be real, could be next week...


there is something to be said about spring cleaning though. purging, in the right way, IS something that has got to be done. in one way or the other. organizing my life makes me feel so much better on pretty much every level. after all, my daddio always told me, "a cluttered desk is a cluttered mind..."

and don't worry, i will send pics of the trash bags. and oh, must i not forget, the 2930423 patterns from Verreos's amazing Apparel Process class 2 quarters ago. that i STILL had. why?? no clue..

i dream of sushi

Speaking of breakfast, Caroline and I decided that 11am is never too early for sushi. Sounds pretty horrific, but it was actually delicious! Other than our sporadic sushi date, the day has been a mixture of raindrops, rain boots, blue skies.. oh, and sewing homework. Lucky us!

love and levi's

It's safe to say that I'm absolutely loving the fact that the 70's is trending. I bought myself the perfect pair of vintage purple (yes, I said purple!) high-waisted Levi's cut-off shorts at Wasteland on Melrose. I'm scared that once I wear them for the first time, I'm never going to want to take them off! I plan on pairing them with my favorite bikini for the perfect beach-bum outfit!
